It's All About Us...

Peaks in Profile - Conceived in Cumbria

Born - rough sketches/ideas scribbled down after a 2011 Lakeland hike. Infancy - learning how to print and transfer these ideas. Nurture - presenting the early first samples. Big Wide World - Trade Shows promoting mountains rather than a brand.

Thankfully, since those early days in 2011, it's got better and bigger - better quality, better choice and more Peaks, Fells and Mountains - a lot more! But, there's still plenty of Growing Pains as every parent will tell you!

So enjoy having a browse through our development. Hopefully there's something connected to your favourite Fell to tempt you but if not, just Get in Touch. We'll do our best to make it happen.

My Story

My parents were always keen walkers as far back as I can remember and most Sundays growing up were spent as a family exploring the hills and dales of the Peak District - our 'home' turf. Every school holiday, with either tent or caravan,  we were 'away' on family expeditions but strangely looking back none to the Lake District. So I was (like them) a latecomer to Lakeland and boy did it knock me out on my first visit!

Over the last ten years, through Peaks in Profile, I've tried to reconnect with that particular 'wow' moment. One of the new T-shirts - "IN YOUR SOLE"  illustrates this perfectly which I've designed with all National Parks in mind. From startup in 2011 with my first original designs to where Peaks in Profile is today, it is about championing the mountains and promoting some of the wonderful landscapes we are lucky enough to be able to wander in - for free.

As business continues to grow, I get requests not only from the good retail folk of Cumbria, Yorkshire, Wales and Scotland who stock Peaks in Profile products but also from consumers wanting new profiles and other items. My aim is for you to be able to 'take home more than a memory' and keep hold of the 'magic' for just a little bit longer.

So whether you are walking, trekking, running, cycling, canoeing, climbing, whatever activity you are doing in whichever National Park,  be in the moment, breathe deep, take it all in.

This is my take on it -  Big up the mountains. Happy shopping!

John, Director - Peaks in Profile.
